We are trialing the ability to have your phone or computer read the instructions of the Interactive Guides to you.
This is a very experimental feature, but please feel free to try it out, and send us any feedback as to whether it is useful to you, and any improvements we might make.
If you do send feedback, please let us know the model of the phone or computer you're using, and what web browser you used to install the app.
How to turn on experimental Read-Aloud support
Just open the Settings tab of the Options Tray, and scroll all the way down.
There you will see a "Test" button that let's you check if your device supports this. If it makes a sound when you try the test, you can tick the "Read Aloud" checkbox to enable the feature.
How to use Read-Aloud once you have enabled it
With the read-aloud feature turned on, you will now have a speaker icon on the left of the Stage Selection bar.
When you tap this icon, it will speak the instructions at each stage you move to, and the icon turns red to indicate that speaking is active.
- To stop speaking at any time, just hit the icon to turn speech off.
- Speech won't ever start until you ask it to for the specific Interactive Guide you are working with.
